Friday 6th December was our AGM – New Management Committee Officers and Captains were voted in.
Everyone at the club would like to thank William Morrison, who stood down as Club Treasurer – the role he first took on in 1977. He has been a valuable member or the Committee and we would like to thank him for his many years of service. He will be helping Anthea Yorston, the cubs new treasurer, in a transitional period.
The club elected Zisan Abedin to 1st XI captain – Zisan will also be overseeing the coaching at the club in a newly created role of Head Coach. Zisan has a vast knowledge of cricket as well as being an integral part of the 1st XI – he is excited, as are we all, about this new adventure for the club.
Ben Leworthy was also elected as the new 3rd XI Captain – he is looking forward to the season ahead and cannot wait to get out there and start playing.
Meanwhile, Hamel Patel was voted in as 5th XI Captain on a permanent basis. Hamel took over the role this season after his predecessor was ruled out of the season after having a knee replacement.
2nd XI and 4th XI captains remain unchanged.
We would like to thank Anthony, Michelle, Pete, Paul and our additional members for their time on the committee this last year as they all stood down from their respective roles.
